Nabss Executive Committee

The NABSS Executive Committee was recently strengthened by the addition of 5 new members: Donat Morgan (President), Heather Muntaner (Executive Secretary), Jim Shallcross (Inspections) Adrian Massam (Inspections) and Anne McEwan (Conference Coordinator), joined existing members Franc Corbi (Treasurer) and Roger Deign (Publicity Coordinator).

The Executive Committee presently represents the interests of 53 British schools in Spain, working closely with the British Council and with Spanish government departments. These schools are authorised by the local Spanish authorities after a rigorous British inspection , which focuses on the Britishness and quality of the education provided. NABSS has its own inspection system, supervised by specific members of the committee, which has already carried out more than 150 inspections. The Executive Committee members also support the schools´ development by providing in service training courses and disseminating information.

The new Committee settled straight into its work after their election at the NABSS AGM in early March. They have already established priorities, including a new approach to professional development, adapting the inspection and accreditation systems, and representing schools´ interests  in relation to the new system of direct access to Spanish universities.
