BSB offers an extensive programme of over 80 after-school clubs, delivered by more than 20 specialist partners alongside its dedicated staff. Students across all campuses can participate in a wide variety of activities, including sports clubs, academic clubs, creative clubs, and language clubs. The programme also features LAMDA Drama lessons and a rich selection of instrumental and vocal music tuition, providing opportunities to develop skills, explore passions, and enhance learning beyond the classroom.

The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a welcoming international school community for students aged 2–18, with campuses in Barcelona, Castelldefels, Sitges and, from 2026, Cabrera de Mar. Following the English national curriculum, BSB offers a choice of pathways at Pre-University: A Levels, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, or convalidation with the Spanish Bachillerato. This flexibility, together with consistently excellent results, opens doors to top universities around the world, from the UK and US to Spain, the Netherlands and beyond. We currently operate fifteen regular routes, plus three shuttle services, covering most of the areas where our pupils live (Barcelona, Baix Llobregat, Garraf, Baix Penedès, Vallès Occidental).

School Lunch: Freshly cooked in our school kitchens, we cater to the wide variety of dietary requirements of our international community, including allergies and intolerances. Menus include vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options, among others.

Academic results

BSB students continue to achieve exceptional results across GCSE, A Level, and the International Baccalaureate (IB), consistently performing well above UK and world averages. BSB Nexus – 2025 Highlights - A Levels: 48% A*/A (school record), 20% A*. Eight students achieved 3+ A* grades, 21 students earned 3+ A*/A grades. - IB Diploma: 34 average points (world average 30.58), 8 students 40+, 1 student achieved maximum 45. - GCSEs: 24% grades at 9, 53% at 7–9. Eight students earned 8+ grade 9s, including two with 10 straight 9s. BSB City – 2025 Highlights - IB Diploma: 34.4 average points, 50% students 38+, 2 students 43 points. - GCSEs: 24% grades at 9, 53% at 7–9, 30% with an average of 8+, including one student with all 9s.
