The British International School of Marbella

At BISM we are ambitious with regards to what we believe our pupils can achieve. We expect our students to do well academically and we don’t settle for less when we feel someone can do better. We don’t place undue pressure on pupils but rather work with them in fostering a habit of doing things well and seeking out ways to improve so that eventually good results simply come naturally.

BISM offers an education based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales leading to GCSE and A-level qualifications. Founded in 2010, BISM has grown significantly and now operates over two campuses. The education we provide is predominantly in English, following English curricula and guidelines and is based on standards equivalent to those of the best independent schools in the UK. Pupils’ academic progress is externally assessed on an ongoing basis which allows for comparison with standards of achievement in the UK and in other international schools. Our students are also able to take subjects from the Spanish system not covered in the English curriculum, which allows their studies to be fully recognised both in the UK and in Spain. Our graduating pupils go on to study at top universities around the world. Our ambition is for every student to have an interesting and fulfilling school experience. We offer a range of activities beyond the classroom for students to explore and unique to our school, we also give pupils greater choice over what they would like to learn.
