Humanities teacher – Mallorca

Escola Global International School

Escola Global is a values driven community developed to inspire compassionate changemakers. As a British International School in Mallorca our location and local culture matter to us. We are an Eco School and sustainability and enrichment are at the heart of everything we do, in combination with academic rigour, providing British education and Spanish homologation. Our families embrace creativity, physical activity and nature at the centre of their child’s education.

Our school continues to grow and we are extending our academic and enrichment provisions. We will be opening the Escola Global Sixth Form in September 2025, and so we wish to recruit team members who can contribute to preparing our active, creative and future-focused students for journeys into higher education and beyond.

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Humanities in our Secondary school, with experience of teaching a range of humanities subjects, especially Geography, History, Environmental Management and Travel & Tourism. The ability to teach to the National Curriculum of England, and deliver the IGCSE and A Level qualifications are essential.

We are looking for educators with a proven track record of quality teaching at Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and preferably at A Level or IB, who can demonstrate the initiative and innovation to continue to develop our whole-school curriculum, which embraces our school’s commitment to our natural environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, dynamic and able to contribute to a range of curriculum areas and subjects.

We highly value the ability of teachers to actively, innovatively and enthusiastically contribute to Enrichment. Experience of planning and delivering off-site activities and residential trips is highly desirable and experience of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award would be advantageous.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity in a fast-growing and dynamic school, with clear paths for the right candidate to grow their role and responsibilities.
